Segways are an exciting self-balancing mode of transport allowing riders to use their bodyweight to steer the machine in the direction they wish to go, and as such can be a bit difficult to get your head around!
To learn the basics, the two of you will undertake an instructor-led training session allowing you to get to grips with the sensation of using your body as a steering wheel, before heading out onto the course left to your own devices. Once the ‘training wheels’ are gone it’s time to bolt around the track at speeds of up to 12.5mph where you’ll attempt to keep your balance over big dips and bumps and as you swing it around all the sharp turns!
Around 30 minutes is spent on the segways in total and the experience is available Monday to Friday throughout the year. N.B. children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult!
