Coffee Lovers Roasting Experience for Two at HEJ Coffee

Having been conceived in Sweden, HEJ Coffee was born in Bermondsey after splitting from a large Swedish coffee conglomerate and going back to their roots doing what they loved! Keeping their strong Swedish values they now have neighbourhood coffee shops in London, roasting their coffee beans in-house and to top it all off are a barista school as well!

This amazing experience for two at their Elephant and Castle location will teach you all the tricks of the roasting trade. Learn how different flavours are developed throughout the roasting process as well as how things like airflow, temperature and even drum speed can affect the coffee’s taste.

Don’t worry…this experience is also hands-on as you will see as you dive in and operate the commercial Besca Roaster and create a batch of your very own delicious coffee. The final stag is considered by some to be the most fun…tasting your very own creation! You’ll be taught how to operate a professional espresso machine and pour yourself an espresso using your own batch of coffee and at the cupping station, you can compare your creation against various different coffees from around the world!

At the end of the day, take home your very own bag of coffee as a delicious treat to enjoy over and over again.

This experience is available Monday to Sunday throughout the year, subject to availability and should last around 4 hours in total.
